NoOneGoes Collection
With the ongoing research for the NoOneGoes project naturally the collection of materials grows with it. It all began with that suitcase of family photos and went on from there. One of the biggest spurs to the project was finding post cards for sale, I quickly grew concerned seeing so many local pieces being passed over in sales meaning no one was saving them. The wealth of information contained in these small pieces of paper is invaluable. I quickly began purchasing any card I could get my hands on and just as quickly I discovered there was a huge number of cards circulating amongst private collections. To date the NoOneGoes postcard collection has exceeded 150 unique cards, I estimate there are between 250-300 unique Palmerston post cards dating back to the late 1800's. The collection as a whole has grown to over 500 pieces from photographs, militaria, advertisements and even sports cards.
Below are some examples of the wonderful pieces of Palmerston history the NoOneGoes project has collected and preserved to date.
